I handed Joy a 20-year-old snapshot of my first-born son that shows him at age 2 hurrying toward the camera with a toddler's determination. Suspenders with clowns adorning them hold up his little, brown corduroy pants and sweep over the shoulders of his striped long-sleeved t-shirt. His eyes are cast on the ground in front of him as he hurries along to reach Mama!" The surrounding grounds and background are dull, dry and particularly unattractive. In the painting she did for me, Joy not only "fixed" the background, and captured the details of his clothing, she captured my love for this child on the canvas, too. It hangs in my dining room and is a delight to me everyday."

Dear Joy, I am the "lady with the turkey hanging down my back" Wow, what a hunting trip that was for me. Mike surprised me with my gift yesterday. The drawing is just beautiful. I am so pleased with it. I am having it matted and framed today. It will be on display here in my office until we move into our new house where it will occupy a place of honor. Please know that your talent is very much appreciated.

Joy,  We received the painting of our dogs and I couldn't believe it.  My husband is going to be thrilled.  The setting you put them in is just incredible.  The woods look deep and cool and the dogs look so natural there.  The kids can't wait to give it to him.  I can not express what a wonderful gift this is going to be.  It will be perfect hanging behind his desk in his office.  Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent.

Joy, We  had a party this past weekend and I just had to write a note and tell you about the reaction to the painting.  Although anyone would love the way the lamp lights up the area with the old photos and the roses in the vase.  I have to say that everyone who was here who had spent any time at all in my mothers house recognized the scene immediately.  My son was here from Chicago for the holidays and I watched tears come to his eyes when he saw it.  He just whispered  "that's Granny's house"

That was all he could say.  He just kept standing there staring at it for the longest time.  I know that it took him right back to many hours in her living room.  Thank you so much for capturing so many memories onto one small canvas fo us
